The majority of my Paintings have been completed on canvas, but every now and then I like to break loose from the "typical" and have a little fun.

This was an interesting piece for me. It started out as an image of a model and ended up looking like my ex-husband. This is an excellent example of how art can bring to the surface, the items we are having difficulty with and assist in the healing process.

My father had a very powerful presence. As soon as he walked into a room, it was known. After he passed, painting this was the first thing I did and it not only has a strong presence like my father, but his eyes follow me around the room. What a wonderful reminder that he is still with me and will always be keeping an eye on me.

My daughter Jade is bipolar and with piece, my goal was to show the struggle she has between her feelings of happiness and contentment to her feelings of fear and anger.

One of my favorite pieces (of course!). This piece was created at the point in my life when I was finally feeling alive again and excited about what awaited me. Where I had been was very contradictory to that, so this turning point in my life is very memorable.

Not one of my best pieces, but one I will never forget. This was painted after I had the most romantic evening of my life (thus far) and I wanted to remember it always, so "The Night" was born.

Was painted shortly before "Living" and depicts my struggle to break free of the sadness and feelings of confinement that were overwhelming me.

Another interesting piece. It was completed in two nights time and is very raw. Even though I was feeling surrounded by sadness, I could still sense the love and positive energy flowing through me that makes up us all.
